Day 1: Arrival in Tanzania; Moshi

  • Arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport.
  • Arrive in Moshi, the gateway to Kilimanjaro.
  • Welcome dinner and briefing on the upcoming adventure.

Day 2: Kilimanjaro Machame Gate to Machame Camp (Approx. 10km)

  • Early morning transfer to Machame Gate.
  • the climb through lush rainforests.
  • Overnight camping at Machame Camp.

Day 3: Machame Camp to Shira Camp (Approx. 5km)

  • Early morning transfer to Machame Gate.
  • Begin the climb through lush rainforests.
  • Overnight camping at Machame Camp.

Day 4: Shira Camp to Barranco Camp (Approx. 10 km)

  • Traverse the alpine desert of the Western Breach.
  • Spectacular views of Kibo and the Barranco Wall.
    • Overnight camping at Barranco Camp.

Day 5: Barranco Camp to Karanga Camp (Approx. 5 km)

  • Conquer the Barranco Wall.
  • Traverse the Karanga Valley.
  • Overnight camping at Karanga Camp.

Day 6: Karanga Camp to Barafu Camp (Approx. 4 km)

  • Ascend to Barafu Camp, the base for the summit.
  • Final preparations for the summit push.
  • Rest and early bedtime.

Summit Day – Barafu Camp to Uhuru Peak (Approx. 5 km ascent)

  • Midnight ascent to Uhuru Peak, the highest point in Africa.
  • Celebrate at the summit.
  • Descend to Mweka Camp for the night

Day 8: Descend to Mweka Gate and Transfer to Chemka Hot Springs

  • Descend to Mweka Gate, receive certificates.
  • Transfer to the lush oasis of Chemka Hot Springs.
  • Relax and rejuvenate in the natural springs.
  • Overnight in Boma NG’ombe.

Day 9: Olpopongi Maasai Cultural Village

  • Depart for Olpopongi, an authentic Maasai cultural village.
  • Immerse in Maasai traditions, dance, and crafts.
  • Overnight stay in a traditional Maasai boma.

Day 10: Departure

  • Transfer back to Moshi for departure or onward travel.
